Meet Micah, Owner and Founder
Micah grew up in Cody, Wyoming but Montana has been his home for 25 years. Micah started Misty Mountain Woodworks in 2007 after years in the industry learning the trade, and has never looked back. He's the creative force behind each project, meticulously overseeing every detail in the shop. Micah is a devoted family man and hands-on owner. You can catch him scaling icy heights during ice climbs or navigating the rugged terrain in his trusty Land Cruiser when he's recharging.


Meet Cam, Shop Manager
Cam, a native of the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado, found his calling in the building industry over 25 years ago. In 1999, he made the move to Bozeman to pursue his career, bringing with him a wealth of hands-on experience in the building trades, starting from the ground up. Beyond the shop, Cam is a devoted father, actively raising and nurturing the bright spirit of his young daughter. During his leisure time, he embraces the great outdoors, finding solace and excitement in activities like shooting sports.


Meet Will, Production Manager
Meet Will, our dedicated Production Manager and proud Bozeman native. With 11 years of finish carpentry experience, Will brings a wealth of expertise to our team. He and his wife have a little boy named Bridger, after the mountains he spent his life exploring. Will enjoys spending his free time hiking the mountains of Montana, hunting for birds and deer and leather working.


Meet Kyle, Craftsmen
Kyle is Montana born and raised. He has a Drafting Technology degree from MSU-B and is our Auto CAD specialist. Entering his fourth year in our shop, he is fueled by an appetite for knowledge and is always striving to enhance his skills. Kyle has been married for 17 years, Kyle shares his life with his wife and two children. He spends his free time on the water pursuing walleye and “crashing mountain bikes” in the breathtaking landscapes of Montana.


Meet Nick, Installer
Originally from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, he’s spent the last 24 years in Montana, where he earned a degree in Art from Montana State University. With a background in sales, design, and a successful career building custom furniture, Nick pairs artistic vision with real-world know-how.
When he’s not installing Misty Mountain Woodworks projects, you’ll find him camping with his two daughters, hitting mountain bike trails, cross-country skiing, or cheering on the Seattle Seahawks.


Meet John, Head Installer
From a long line of carpenters, John brought his talents to Montana in 2024, beginning a new chapter in Big Sky Country. With a background in set assembly from a vibrant creative city, he offers a unique perspective to every project he tackles. His recent work focuses on high-end homes, where he specializes in rustic and reclaimed aesthetics.
When he’s not leading installations on-site, you’ll likely find John strolling through the local farmers market with his dog, Kane. Like many on our team, he’s a true creative at heart, often exploring other artistic mediums in his free time.


Meet Kevin, Craftsman
Born and raised in the scenic landscapes of Colorado, Kevin studied photography at Colorado State University and found a passion for capturing the beauty of the world around him. Recently, he made the move to Montana, drawn by its rugged charm and the fact that he has family here. He has spent the past three years immersing himself in woodworking and enjoys blending artistry and hands-on craftsmanship. He has had the privilege of working and embarking on adventures around the globe, with Colombia standing out as a personal favorite. His pastimes include landscape and nature photography, snowboarding—a sport he's enjoyed since childhood—traveling, camping, and golfing.


Meet Maggie, Office Manager
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Maggie has called Montana home for the past decade. Currently pursuing her Interior Design degree at Gallatin College, she brings three years of industry experience to the table. Outside of the office, Maggie is a proud mother, raising a first-generation Montana boy named Wilder. When she gets the chance, she is immersed in the playground of the outdoors. Carving the coldsmoke on her snowboard and teaching her son to do the same. She pulls inspiration from her time outside and transfers that into her mixed media art.


Meet Anthony, Finisher
Anthony moved to Montana 10 years ago from Kansas City and is still a dedicated Chiefs fan. He has 9 years of experience in the industry and has honed his skills to become our finishing wizard. When Anthony isn't hard at work perfecting his craft, he finds joy and relaxation at home with his four children and is always up for a good movie.


Meet Marley, Cabinet Designer
Marley is a Montana Native originally from Missoula. She has been in the Gallatin Valley for the last decade. A recent graduate of Gallatin College, she earned her Interior Design degree in Spring of 2024. She grew up in a woodworking shop and decided to pursue her passion in 2020. When she isn't designing she likes to experience new destinations near and far.


Meet Neil, Craftsman
Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Neil moved to Montana in July 2024 to pursue a new chapter and be closer to family. A skilled craftsman with years of experience, Neil specializes in custom woodworking and quality control, ensuring every project is flawless and ready for installation.
Having run his own woodworking business for five years, Neil’s hands-on approach and 3D vision make him a natural at turning ideas into reality. He’s been woodworking since high school and continues to push his craft every day.
When he's not working in the shop, Neil enjoys dirt biking, paintball, exploring the outdoors and wrenching on passion projects.
